The severe impacts of climate change and prolonged drought are taking a devastating toll on rural farmers and livestock owners. In this compelling video, a local farmer shares the heartbreaking reality of raising livestock in a landscape starved of water and vegetation. With erratic weather patterns, delayed rains, and scorching heatwaves, grazing lands have turned dry and barren, leaving little to no food for animals like goats and cattle. Finding clean drinking water and proper fodder has become a daily struggle of survival. The lack of resources is not only threatening the health and lives of the livestock but also pushing the farmers into extreme financial distress, as their primary source of livelihood slips away. This is a stark reminder of how climate change affects every facet of rural life, from agriculture to animal husbandry. We must raise awareness and support these vulnerable communities before it is too late.
